In this advisory, LMS presents the top-line data from a survey of mobile consumers on a variety of topics including the iPhone, mobile Internet usage, content interests and mobile ad acceptance.

Among the highlights:

  • Mobile Internet access at fairly high levels: 29% access the Internet from their mobile devices; 16% use search engines (Google leading)
  • Mobile search frequency found to be much higher than expected, with 67% of mobile search users reporting at least 4 searches per week
  • A striking 43% are potentially interested in mobile Internet ads, with highest interest among more engaged mobile users
