The Next iPhone Indeed

Over the weekend pictures of the next iPhone started showing up and people speculated whether they were real. Gizmodo apparently has the real device (allegedly lost by an employee) and took video and many pictures of it. The specs and Gizmodo impressions are there to read. It runs OS 4.

Beyond that there's really not much to be said that isn't being said again and again and again by various gadget blogs on Techmeme. It's thinner and flatter than the current iPhone 3GS.

The question has to be asked: was this really lost or is this a PR stunt by Apple? How could someone "lose" this phone -- unless that person was intoxicated beyond comprehension.
